But it reminds me of you.
If it didn't, I'd forget you altogether. I think that would be worse. No matter how much it might hurt to remember, it would hurt even more to forget.
So I'll bear with it. I'll stay sane somehow. Or not. Even if I wind up writhing in terror at the sheer immensity of empty space inside my skull, it will always have been worth it.

Bluh. The ebb and flow is erratic but unrelenting. Had a decent (if torturous) job for a while, but now it is gone like the tide, and I'm back to looking. I've moved to a different apartment, but now that I haven't a job can't afford more than a month of rent. I was doing well in school, but thanks to the stupid job and their evil scheduling machinations, couldn't enroll for last (or this) semester.
